2003 CL55AMG The car is currently not running. It has a clear title. It sat for 5 years and the owner lost the key during that time. He purchased a new key from mercedes 6 months ago and tried it but the car just turned over and never started. I bought it from him and I changed the oil and filter (old oil was still slippery and no metal it) put new spark plugs in, new cam sensor and a new crank sensor, flushed the 5 year old fuel out of the system and bought a new battery for it. The car started. Now the key won't turn in the ignition module and I got a quote from the local mercedes dealer to fix it, $1,800 canadian$. I just purchased a 2005 E55AMG that is running and I don't have the time or patience to continue screwing around with this car. Windows work, soft close features work, sun roof works all the glass is in good shape except the front windshield is cracked. seats, all power options work the massage function appears to work on both, heater and ac functions appear to work as well. Rear sun shade works, and the headrest drop button works. Outside of the car:paint is in good shape, these are the issues:1. front bumper lip is broken2. Gas cap door is missing3. Drivers side rear tail light lens is cracked suspensionlooks to be in decent shape, I don't see any cracked bushings but drivers side tie rod boot is torn and should be replaced. Drivers side shock has a bit of residue on it but the rest look dry. Brakes are in decent shape, calipers look good, wheels are a bit curbed but definitely could be refinished, tires are bald. the other known issues1. coolant reservoir tank needs to be replaced2. needs 2 new belts3. The passenger side front fuse box got wet at some point and needs to be replaced4. the command and audio amplifier both got wet and dont work. Interiorsome of the interior is taken apart but the parts are there to put it back together. The interior is in pretty good shape except the drivers side A pillar has burn marks on it and the sunroof shade piece has come off the track. No rips in the seats the dash still looks new.
